چکیده
Friction stir processing (FSP) was used to modify the microstructure and improve mechanical properties corrosion resistance of an Mg–Al–Ca alloy. The results demonstrated that, after FSP, grain size alloy decreased from 13.3 6.7 μm. Meanwhile, Al8Mn5 phase broken dispersed, its amount increased. yield strength ultimate tensile were increased by 17.0% 10.1%, respectively, due combination fine grain, second phase, orientation strengthening, while elongation slightly decreased. immersion electrochemical rates in 3.5 wt% NaCl solution 18.4% 37.5%, which contributed refinement. However, stress cracking (SCC) modified significantly, mainly filiform induced phase. SCC controlled anodic dissolution, cathodic hydrogen evolution accelerated process.

Multi-Track Friction Stir Lap Welding of 2024 Aluminum Alloy: Processing, Microstructure and Mechanical Properties
Friction stir lap welding (FSLW) raises the possibility of fabricating high-performance aluminum components at low cost and high efficiency. In this study, we mainly applied FSLW to fabricate multi-track 2024 aluminum alloy without using tool tilt angle, which is important for obtaining defect-free joint but significantly increases equipment cost. Firstly, systematic single-track FSLW experimen...

متن کاملEffect of Thermal History on Microstructures and Mechanical Properties of AZ31 Magnesium Alloy Prepared by Friction Stir Processing
Hot-rolled AZ31 (Mg-2.57Al-0.84Zn-0.32Mn, in mass percentage) magnesium alloy is subjected to friction stir processing in air (normal friction stir processing, NFSP) and under water (submerged friction stir processing, SFSP). Thermal history of the two FSP procedures is measured, and its effect on microstructures and mechanical properties of the experimental materials is investigated. Compared ...
متن کاملMicrostructure, Mechanical and Corrosion Properties of Friction Stir Welding High Nitrogen Martensitic Stainless Steel 30Cr15Mo1N
High nitrogen martensitic stainless steel 30Cr15Mo1N plates were successfully welded by friction stir welding (FSW) at a tool rotation speed of 300 rpm with a welding speed of 100 mm/min, using W-Re tool. The sound joint with no significant nitrogen loss was successfully produced. Microstructure, mechanical and corrosion properties of an FSW joint were investigated. The results suggest that the...
